Hi-Lite's Tie Rods are split ties with the cone acting as a joiner. This
enables one side of the tie rod with the plastic tube spacer and wide
mouth cone to be attached to the face of the form before the rebar is
placed. This makes a convenient holder for placement of the rebar instead
of nailing to the plywood.
Hi-Lite's Tie
Rod systems eliminates the need to push a tie rod through the rebart and
then attempt to find the hole in the plywood on the other side of the
form. With Hi-Lite's system the Tie Rod Bolt only needs to go through
the strongback/wailer into an oversized hole in the plywood and into the
cone.
Hi-Lite's Tie
Rod Cone with its wide mouth allows larger holes to be drilled in the
plywood on the second side of the form,. This makes it easier to line
up the forms.
Hi-Lite's Tie
Rod System is reusable, only the inexpensive section of plastic tube is
consumed. The cones are easily removed after the concrete is set by loosening
the nut of the adjustable tie rod and then using a hammer to push the
cone through the other end of the wall. There are no consumed spacers,
She-Bolts, snap ties, coil rods, etc.
Hi-Lite's Tie
Rods are spacers, thus they eliminate the need to nail additional spacers
to the wall form. As well, the plastic tube is recessed therefore no spacer
will be exposed on the finished wall or column.
